The Software Engineer 3/4 will use defined engineering processes to implement specified requirements by performing requirements analysis, design, development, integration, test, and performance evaluation of computing systems supporting B-2 Weapons Systems Support Center requirements. Activities to be currently supported are maintenance, development, and upgrades of the B-2 Software Change Management System (Twister) application written in VB .NET. Future support may include maintenance and development of B-2 software tools, B-2 Laboratory Mission Data Preparation System, B-2 Operational Flight Programs, or upgrade programs.
The following are the Basic Qualifications for this position: A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years experience directly related to this position. Bachelor's degree must be in Computer Science, Math, Engineering or any other related degree program from an accredited college/university. Candidate must have proven experience programming with Windows Visual Basic or C## .NET. Candidate must be able to work in a team environment and independently as required. Candidate may be required to travel for training not to exceed 10% per year. Candidate must have a current/active SECRET security clearance, or one that has been active within the last two years. Position is posted as a grade 763/764; final grade will be determined based upon background, education, and experience of the selected candidate.
Experience in the following areas is considered an asset: Experience with C and FORTRAN development languages and working knowledge of SQL Server databases. Background with developing software requirements is desired.
